Rules can be found here: http://www.texasthunder.com/rules_dwarfcars.html
The Texana club has recently mandated Goodyear tires so that tire will be added to the track rules so those tires will be legal.

Clubs in Texas:

Texana Club runs mostly in Edna west of Houston as the primary track. Texana rules were used to develop the "common" rules and cars meeting the common rules can run with Texana. Very minor modification to weight and rear suspension makes a Texana car legal at the above tracks.     http://texanaclassics.com/

DCRST run mostly FJ1200 engines that were last made in 1992. Engines must be "air cooled" eliminating modern water cooled or fuel injected engines. Engines are "stock" except for after maket ignition and carburators. They run south of Austin to Corpus Christie. http://www.dcrst.com/

Lonestar does not allow Fuel Injected engines. Engines are typically 2002 or older with aftermarket ignition and carburators. It helps to know an engine builder to be competitive. They run exclusively in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. http://www.lsdcc.com/

West Texas is a new club and can be found here. www.wtdcracing.com

Texana and the common rules accept DCRST and Lonestar engines plus most stock fuel Injected motors. The other two clubs use after market ignitions, carburetors, and "built motors" to achieve similar performance and cost. DCRST and Lonestar run street tires and everyone else runs racing tires. Everyone can run Texana rules but Texana cars with fuel injection cannot run anywhere else. Street tires are a performance disadvantage.

Different rules make racing in different areas difficult or impossible.

Our goal is to make it possible for everyone to race everywhere.
